Ingredients For Homemade Shea Butter Hand Cream

Most of these ingredients can be found in your local health food store.  Feel free to switch out the essential oils if you are not a fan of the ones listed below.  What you will need is:

– 4oz of raw organic shea butter

– 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil

-1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder

– 20 drops of ylang ylang essential oil

– 10 drops of lavender essential oil

 

Instructions

1. Using a double boiler place your raw shea butter and coconut oil in the pot.

2. After it has melted down, you will have to place the mixture in the fridge to cool down.  Once it has cooled and solidified to about 50%, remove it from the fridge.

3. Use a hand-mixer to whip the shea butter.  Mix it until the consistency is light and fluffy.  At this point you will need to add in the arrowroot powder and essential oils.

When To Use It

This blend can be used as often as needed.  This DIY shea butter hand cream is natural and most beneficial in the colder months when the air is dry and cold.  Treat and pamper your hands with the highest quality of ingredients and overtime you will see the skin on your hands flourish.
